The numbers don’t lie: motorcycles now claim more lives than cars on Kenyan roads. In 2019 alone, 1,421 riders and passengers died in motorcycle crashes, compared to 1,049 in motor vehicles. Among them, boda-boda riders remain especially vulnerable, with 725 fatalities reported that year alone (Business Daily). Our motorcycle course is designed to reverse these trends by teaching essential safety practices, defensive riding skills, and responsible road behavior to help keep you and your passengers, safe.

    DEFENSIVE RIDER TRAINING

    Our unique Defensive Rider Training is designed to reduce road fatalities and keep riders and their passengers safe. The training is conducted with motorcycles that have been modified for the sole purpose of rider training.

    The training motorcycles are fitted with a specifically designed Anti - Crash Training Aid ™ ( ACTA™)

    ACTA™ was designed and built in Kenya by Glen Edmunds and his team (see photo – left). It is the first device in the world built solely to make rider training safe and successful both “on road and off road.” 

    This unique device allows the rider to fully explore aggressive braking, collision avoidance, weight transfer and slide control without fear of injury to the rider or damage to the motorcycle. Training is designed to simulate real life hazrds that riders encounter on a daily basis..

    DEFENSIVE RIDER EXERCISES

    Additional defensive rider exercises are included with a dead weight pillion to mimic riding with passengers (see photo right). The 2-Day Defensive Riding Course includes informative theory followed by six hours daily riding instruction on our purposely-built training track, complete with a skidpan with aquaplaning capabilities.
