2023 East African Classic Safari Rally - Day 03

Glen Edmunds with navigator Lloyd Destro in Car 29 making up lost time during the 2023 East African Safari Classic Rally on Day 02.

Competitive: 216.24 KM
Liaison: 298km
Day Total: 514.24

CS7 – IREMITO to SELENKAY -  77Km
The beginning of the stage is very fast, straight road, over some nasty corrugation. This continues to twisty tracks through bush, over red soil, which of wet will be very slippery. There is one major river crossing, which could be challenging if water is flowing.

CS8 - OLOOTEPES TO ISINYA – 64km.
Another new stage for the Classic, a very big road, (take care of lorries), and it is very bumpy. The section becomes very smooth and passes in between big farms.Big brows and sharp corners as you travel between fence lines of these farms. Eventually, the route rejoins and iconic section used in the Safari Rally.

CS9 – PARANE TO KAMUKURU - 75km
Another iconic rally stage, new to the Classic. The stage has many concrete drifts and is fast over a twisty big road.Challenging if wet! The end of the section is fast. After the CS, there is a very long transport section (187 km) to Lake Naivasha, end of day at hotel.
