Testimonials from some of Glen Edmunds Performance Driving School participants:

Performance Driving Incorporating Anti-carjacking Techniques Course. The British High Commission has been sending staff on this course since 2004, soon after it began, and all have come away better equipped to deal with the challenges facing us on the roads in Kenya today. Being aware of the dangers and how to avoid them can make the difference between life and death. I have no doubt that incidents have been prevented, and will continue to be, as a result of this valuable course. I speak for all of my staff when I say that it is also a thoroughly enjoyable day. Adam Wood, British High Commissioner

A lot of us from the BHC, including my wife and me, have undertaken Glen Edmunds' driving courses to help us cope better with the challenges of driving in Kenya, from ordinary road use to defensive driving. We have all enjoyed the courses and felt we learned useful new techniques and approaches. We have been shown how we can drive more safely and more confidently in our own interests and in the interests of our passengers and other road-users. Sir Edward Clay, Former British High Commissioner

I have twice commissioned Glen Edmunds, of the Glen Edmunds Performance Driving School, to run driving courses in Somaliland for the state's Immigration Service. Both training courses took place over 10 day periods in Berbera and in Hargeisa with the instruction delivered through a Somali interpreter. Having monitored the programme, I can now state that the longevity of the Service's vehicle fleet has been dramatically improved by the skills taught and absorbed through these courses... Glen Edmunds, himself, is a highly experienced driver, and an excellent teacher with both patience and enthusiasm. He has a natural understanding of the cross language and cultural challenges which are fundamental to any course that is to be delivered using interpreters. I can highly recommend the courses run by Glen Edmunds. Colonel Rob Andrew, Regional Advisor, British High Commission. Read More...

We are so deeply grateful at DSWT for your assistance in allowing our drivers one by one to experience the off road 4x4 driving course. With so many in the field between the de-snaring teams and the veterinary units this course helps us enormously. Not only do they (the drivers) absolutely love it, but they all comment on how professional it is and how much they learn despite having driven in the bush for years. Dr Dame Daphen Sheldrick, DBE MBE MBS DVMS, The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

It´s excellent! George K. Mbugua, World Bank.

I came out to Nairobi from London to attend the two day 'Drive to Survive Course'. Having driven for many years and despite driver training in the Police this was indeed a 'wake up' call. Bad habits and complacency set in on all drivers which in my case was soon identified by Glen Edmunds who not only rectified my problems but installed confidence back into my driving. This was instruction at the highest level and this is a course recommended to every driver however good you think you are. Terry Burton, Security and Investigation Advisor from British Airways.

The course was great fun, exhilarating and educational. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn more about how vehicles operate and who wants to improve their driving skills at the hands of a very skilled practitioner. Terry Davidson, CEO, Kenya Commercial Bank

An excellent, well structured course that will benefit all drivers, irrespective of experience. Kevin Rose, Security Controller, De La Rue

A well thought out, package of theory and practice. Glen Edmunds Performance Driving School has created the ideal environment for learning valuable driving skills. The instructors make you feel safe and confident at all times. Tamara Curl, United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP)

It´s a must! Roger Steadman, CEO, The Steadman Group

It was an excellent course. Very useful and lots of fun too! Marahareta Brisman, Swedish Embassy

Driving from A to B is the most dangerous task any of us will do, particularly in this part of the World. Yet it is one, which we take pretty lightly. At Syngenta, safety of our employees and their families has been a major concern and throughout the whole of the Europe, Africa and Middle East region, our driving record has been a major area for improvement. In 2004 & 2005 Syngenta East Africa featured on our regional report as one of the countries with the most "incidents". Determined to improve, we sent all drivers and their spouses to attend the Glen Edmunds "Performance driving with anti-carjacking techniques" course. Since that time more than 12 months ago, we have had zero incidents to report. I attribute this improvement to the driver training and particularly the general awareness skills taught at this course. We will continue to send new starts and existing employees for refreshers on a needs basis and I would have no hesitation in recommending this course to individuals and corporates alike. Dont take driving lightly, take a Glen Edmunds course! Peter Veal, Managing Director, Syngenta East Africa

Very useful course—should be obligatory for all newly arriving expats in Nairobi. L. Barth, German Embassy

Since Glen Edmunds Performance Driving conducted Driver Training for us in August 2005, the most noticeable benefit is that since training we have had not a single major accident. Our Alarm Response business requires that our vehicles are driven quickly to emergency situations and the eradication of major accidents brings with it huge benefits. In addition we have recorded a 50% drop in smaller, less serious, accidents. Although this type of crash tends not to result in injuries, they do cost the company financially. The savings have been significant. Since the training, we have been confident enough to opt for 3rd party insurance cover on a fleet of 100 leased vehicles in Kenya. Our accident record gave the leasing company the confidence to agree to waive the requirement for comprehensive cover. That alone has resulted in savings in the tens of millions. Clearly a well run fleet is the result of many controls working in tandem. Driver training is a vital part and we have no doubt that what's on offer from Glen Edmunds Performance Driving has helped us save lives, improve our public image, reduce accidents and save money. Patrick Grant, General Manager KK Security.
