They come from various backgrounds, which include security, racing, 4-wheel drive, and more. GLEN EDMUNDS

Glen Edmunds is senior instructor of Glen Edmunds Performance Driving School. Glen is a graduate of the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving in Phoenix, Arizona where members from the CIA, FBI, Delta Force and others of that ilk are trained in disciplines such as anti-carjacking, anti-terrorism, executive protection techniques and performance driving. Glen also graduated from STOOF International, in Amman Jordan, where he took courses in counter terrorism, close protection and armoured car training.

 

Glen is a professional racing driver with over 30 years of experience. He has participated in the Kenya National Rally Championship for the past 14 years and is regularly one of the top three finishers. The highlight of his career was winning the prestigious Safari Rally in 2003 & 2005. Glen’s Bondurant & STOOF training combined with his racing experience accumulates into a unique blend of knowledge and skills that are passed onto each student.

 

 

VIC PRESTON Jr.

The Preston name is world renowned in racing circles and a household name in East Africa. Rally ace, Vic Preston, Sr. won the prestigious Safari Rally title in both 1954 and 1955 etching his name in the annals of history. His son, Vic Preston Jr, spent most of his career as a professional factory driver for top international rally teams such as Porsche, Mercedes, Lancier, Ford, Audi, Fiat, and Nissan. Vic Preston Jr. came runner up in the WRC Safari Rally three times and was voted Kenya Motor sportsman of the year 3 times. He won the Kenya National Rally Championship three times and the Kenya National Motorcycle championship twice.

 

 

CHRIS POOLE

We would like to welcome Chris Poole to the GEPDS Instructor team! Chris is our latest graduate of our Train the Trainer program. Chris comes to the table with previous instructor training, experience in Sudan, and plenty of enthusiasm!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

RORY GREEN

Rory Green is a top rated rally driver and is two times Kenya National Rally Champion. He is also a graduate of our Train the Trainer Program. Rory’s driving skills, combined with his energy and enthusiasm make him a great asset to our talented team.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

COLONEL WAYNE LONG

Colonel Wayne Long is a retired USA Special Forces and was one of the initial members of DELTA Force. During a break in military service, he served as a paramilitary CIA case officer in Laos. In 2003, he retired a second time after over 9 years service as the UN Chief Security Advisor Somalia to Somalia and as Chief UN Hostage Negotiator to Somalia. He lectures on current security issues and hostage scenarios in our courses.
